About Me

my pic for promotion]   I am a Michigan native who has enjoyed reading and writing since 1963. Though I studied medicinal chemistry at the University of Michigan, my passion has always been writing.

I had been awarded third place for her nonfiction short story about my grandfather’s escape from   Poland. Later, rewrote this story and was published in the “Polish American Journal” as “”From the Pages of Grandfather’s Life” and has republished it on Amazon.com as a short story.

I took creative and journalism courses to help transition to fulfill my dream of becoming a writer. I worked as an intern for Port Huron’s ‘The Times Herald”, and also wrote, edited and did the layout or the Blue Water Multiple Sclerosis newsletters “Thumb Prints.”

I run a company that helps authors get their books promoted to social media sites and four blogs, along with other sites that help promote them. It is called Owl and Pussycat Book Promotions

Martin and Clare Montgomery worked as an archaeological team until Martin’s accidental death at a dig they were working on in Peru. Clare swore she’d never go back, but after having a dream about the dig that didn’t add up to the finds of the area, and the help of the Peruvian Pygmy Owl and a blue-eyed spirit, she did.

Midnight Owl (A Joe Leverette Mystery Book 1)

When the dismembered body of a young woman is found, Detectives Joe Leverette and Philip Marsden are assigned the case. After investigating the Port Huron, Michigan area where the six body parts were found, but there’s a twist in the case: The Murderer goes after each individual who found the parts, one by one.

Leverette becomes interested in one of the women, Carole Sage, a sensitive, but because of the case, he’s not able to take it any further. Everyone on the police force sees his infatuation, but Carole does not.

Each of the six witnesses has a dream about the murderer removing the particular body part they found that night. They are startled awake and hear an owl hoot three times. None of them want to reveal their dream to the detectives.

Carole sees the actual murder and each murder as it happens to the witnesses. The police chief, Billingsley, understands her ‘gift’ and sets up a sting to catch him. It fails, and they have to regroup to think of something else. Two witnesses are dead, and they don’t want a third to die.

This book is for 18+ due to the violence.

    • Thank you, Teagan! I would have had more written in the past three years, but after my brother passed I just couldn’t do anything. Now I’m working on Book 2 of the Joe Leverette Mysteries. Mega hugs on owl wings! @v@ ❤

      • I’m so sorry about your brother… I lost my little sister when i was 8 years old. A losing a sibling stays with you. My stress and depression over my work situation drains me of the will to do anything, even write. So it’s taken me since 2014 to finish my second “real” novel (not counting the blog serials I’ve “book-ized.”). I get it.
PS: Sent an email to the address i found for you in my blog’s innards. Hugs.

  18. Hi, Viv – I’ve been enjoying your blog for several months now. Then, you suddenly disappeared from my Yahoo email inbox. Did I inadvertently press the wrong button and sever the connection (understtand, I can be a real Luddite when it comes to the web)?

I’d also like to request a review for my latest book, CHUMP CHANGE, but I’ll do that on a separate communication. On that note, what are your sumbission requirements & contact?

    Thanks.
