Could you tell us a little about yourself and your childhood?

I currently reside in South Carolina, and have for my entire life. My childhood was interesting, to say the least. I hated school, although I excelled in spelling and English (Spelling Bee champ several times over!). In high school I made mostly A’s in my English classes, and the same applied to the English classes I took in college. I was probably the ONLY student who actually savored getting writing assignments!

Do you develop an unbreakable bond with your characters or once your book is complete are you ready for a new cast?

I tend to develop a relationship with my characters, although I wouldn’t call it unbreakable. However, once I start working on a new book, those characters take precedence over the characters in the book I just finished

Viv Drewa is a Michigan native who has enjoyed reading and writing since 1963. Though she studied medicinal chemistry at the University of Michigan, her passion has always been writing.
