Only Then
Regina Puckett
Â
A shroud of fog hovered inches from the damp ground
As time begged us to come together and gather around
But even if we did, would we listen to its words of warning
The seconds were desperately whispering to us on this morning
That our lives here on earth wouldn’t last forever and forever
And we only have a short time to get it right in this endeavor
To always do our best in showing every man how kind we can be
It is only then our souls will be allowed to become totally free
