The Dark Forest: Literature, Philosophy, and Digital Arts

She is missing, Galatea is missing,
the pedestal is empty of her presence;
where did the living statue go,
to what world did she ascend, descend?
They say the sculptor is over there
among the broken fragments,
his head seems looking elsewhere
as if he’d been surprised by love.
They tell me she is a queen,
at least in the eyes of the sculptor,
but that he’d gone too far, seen
what should not be seen, a goddess.
Now she is out there roaming free,
a queen hidden in plain sight;
her life like these who see this empty
pedestal, floats beyond time’s framing myth.
