This review is from: Edric the Hatchling Gryphon: 1 (Kindle Edition)
This is a wonderful book for both children and adults who read to children. Not only is it a great fantasy story about a mythical creature but it also teaches bravery, sharing, honor and friendship.
Aerek, a young man, finds a blue rock. It is strange looking and he shows it to his friend Miss Beecie. She helps him determine that it is a Gryphon egg. They take care of it and it hatches. Knowing that it isn’t a pet or a tame creature, Aerek raises the little animal and calls it Edric. They have all sorts of adventures. Aerek teaches Edric what it is to be human and Edric teaches him what it is to be a gryphon. The ending of this chapter in Edric’s life was a big surprise.
I hope there will be more to this story. Every child would really like this, especially those that remember the Gryphon is part of Gryffindor of Harry Potter fame. This will be a book that I will remember and share with others.
