Why I wrote the book(s): That’s a hard one. Money? Fame? Retirement? To stop the voices in my head ? It’s hard to say… something inside pushes you and the only way it will leave you alone is to write it down. Your brain fills with dopamine and it becomes a relaxation practice, a mediation of sorts. You don’t get paid for it, no body reads your work and those that do are convinced your story would have been better if it were a 1940’s detective story instead of a 23rd century futuristic adventure. So it’s a good question… just a good way to repeatedly punish one’s self I think.
What you did to get them published: I did everything you are supposed to do to get published… as a result I have been rejected 211 times. I tried different stories, different publishers; I submitted to newspapers, to magazines…
