Mary Esparza-VelaSince my Guest Author article HERE I have now become a BILINGUAL AUTHOR.

Why?

While reading to children at elementary schools, I found that the books available were for and about non-Hispanic children.

I decided to read my bilingual picture books to the children and the response was amazing. Hispanic children actually sat up and listened, and I saw excitement in their faces.

I now have a large number of bilingual picture books, and they are winning awards.

The books deal with bullying, acceptance, fears, change, proper eating, patience, disabilities, teasing, cleanliness, pets, grandparents, etc.
