Jenna rubbed her body against Jaclyn as Ariana Grande’s ‘Problem’ dwindled to a close. “What say we leave in an hour or two, go home and break out some munchies. Then I’ll clue you in on the stuff I couldn’t say about John with Lars snarling at me like a damn lunatic.”
“There’s more?” Jaclyn stiffened. “With the way you’re going on about the dude, you’d think you fell in love with him.”
**Not quite, but it’s a possibility.** Jenna smiled it off. “C’mon, hottie. Let’s get our drink on.”
They joined Lars at the oval table and sucked up their respective margaritas with a lusty haste. Jenna rolled her eyes at the sweet taste of the blueberries and how the icy liquid coated her parched throat. She stared across the table at Jaclyn, who didn’t seem impressed by her drink.
Lars eyed Jenna suspiciously. “You girls looked like shit out there.”
“Really?” Jaclyn glared at him. “Keep your mean thoughts to yourself, Chimp-boy. You may need ‘em later when you have to decide on what random slut to take home.”
“I don’t have to decide, Jaxie.” He smirked. “The more the merrier.”
“Oh, quit your bitching. Both of you.” Jenna laughed and raised her goblet. “Okay, how about a toast to me . . . and my hopes of becoming the next Hollywood celebrity icon.”
Jenna saw a black blur and heard a loud crack. Her glass shattered into a million pieces.
