I’m posting news about this writing competition because of the subject you have to tackle – Primitive Humanity. Your task is to write fiction of no more than 3000 words on rage, lust and those other animal instincts that lie beneath the thin veneer of civilisation and culture. See, I knew you’d like it.

I don’t know much about the organisers Cro Magnon. They have a literary website which you can visit HERE and also seem to be involved in writing for the theatre but I don’t know where in the UK they are based or what productions they’ve been involved in. Viv Drewa is a Michigan native who has enjoyed reading and writing since 1963. Though she studied medicinal chemistry at the University of Michigan, her passion has always been writing. She had been awarded third place for her nonfiction short story about her grandfather's escape from Poland.
