THE OWL LADY PRESENTS GUEST POET: IRENE HELENOWSKI

SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR APRIL

April has been recognized as National Poetry Month since 1996 and I decided that my guests for this month will be poets.

A LITTLE ABOUT NATIONAL POETRY MONTH

The Academy of American Poets introduced National Poetry Month in 1996 as a way to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry in the United States. In 1998 National Poetry Month has also been celebrated in Canada each April. The Academy of American Poets’ website, Poets.org, has information  about poetry events during the month. The organization also provides free educational resources for teachers.

And now my first guest poet: Irene Helenowski

ABOUT IRENE’S LOVE OF POETRY

irene helenowski
I like to write poetry as a form of release for my emotions.  I try to channel my sadness and anger and even my happiness through my words.
The books in my Order of The Dimensions syfy series can be found on my amazon author page and I am also currently working on a fairy tale and on a screenplay based on the syfy series at the moment.
