Horiatiki Salad (Traditional Greek Salad) In summertime it is a popular Greek tradition to enjoy this (Horiatiki) salad, dunking your bread in the olive oil and juices whilst enjoying a cold light beer, glass of wine or a cold drink of your own fancy.

INGREDIENTS 3 medium tomatoes

1 cucumber

150 g feta cheese

5 Kalamata olives

1 small raw onion

Oregano

Olive oil”

The amount of ingredients depends on the number of persons to be served. The salad is very easy to prepare. Slice the tomatoes to a medium size Slice the cucumber in rounds or quarters Place all the salad into a salad bowl Slice the raw onion on top. Crumble the feta cheese on top Add the olives Lightly sprinkle fresh oregano on top add salt to taste Pour as much extra virgin olive oil as desired.
