A True Work of Art!,   By Charlotte

This review is from Seeds Of Magnolia (Kindle Edition)
The book, Seed of Magnolia, gives the reader a unique glimpse into one family’s history of slavery before, during and right after the Civil War.
While Austin Miller, Bill Miller’s great grandfather, treated his house slaves, Elizabeth and Sophia, much better than most slaves, they were
still slaves, and subject to the rules and whims of Miller and his wife.
The author’s remarkable insight and candor into the lives of his ancestors bring them to life for the reader. One feels the fear, pain, and sorrow of their lives as they endure the end of one phase of American history and the struggle to survive the new emerging one.
I recommend this incredible book to anyone interested in the Civil War and to anyone just looking for a great read.
