I was kindly sent a free copy of this book by the publisher Austin Macauley for a review.  This is a biography of Francesca, who committed suicide after suffering from mental illness, here is my review.

Francesca Spelzini was eighteen years old when she took her own life after a battle with mental illness. This book is a biography of her life and shows some of the difficulties that face the family of a loved one with mental health problems.

‘My Wonderful Fran’ is a short book at just over one hundred pages long. It’s an easy read and charts the life of Fran by her father Paul. The book starts with Fran’s early years from baby and goes through various family holidays and experiences which gives you an idea of how happy she was and what a lovely family she has. Viv Drewa is a Michigan native who has enjoyed reading and writing since 1963. Though she studied medicinal chemistry at the University of Michigan, her passion has always been writing. She had been awarded third place for her nonfiction short story about her grandfather's escape from Poland.
