“A Poet’s Journey” (Sunlight and Shadows) by Marta Moran Bishop – #Poetry, #American, #Regional&Cultural, #UnitedStates

Marta Moran Bishop continues her journey in Sunlight and Shadows. This book of poetry, unlike A Poet’s Journey: Emotions, is a more thought-provoking book. In its pages, she covers everything from God, to life after death, war, and the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Still, she is able to bring to life the beauty and grandeur of her surroundings and make us laugh, cry, think, and feel.
Sunlight and Shadows will once again, take you on an emotional journey through life.
I believe it is how we deal with despair, tragedy, and joy that define us as human beings.

All Carson Reno, Mystery Series Books, are standalone novels. It is not necessary to read them in any particular order.
What happens when a rich client, three beautiful women, a shifty businessman, a gambler and a missing spouse are all suspected of murder? The results are a merry-go-round of shadows and lies in a house of cards with clues almost as old as Carson.
Greed, blackmail, infidelity, murder, serial killers and a twenty-year-old crime spin a tale that is practically unbelievable – with the truth masked behind a story that nobody wants told.
This old fashion ‘whodunit’ takes Carson Reno and his crew on a complicated adventure, which has too many victims and too many suspects.
Come along and help Carson find the clues and discover the truth as he tries to make sense of all the

“Echo of Heartbreak, A Recipe for Life” is a short story written in the form of a letter from a very ill mother to her unborn daughter, telling her the incidents surrounding her birth, giving her advice on life, and leaving her the best of her family recipes.

Easy to follow life lessons as well as recipes……

Echo of a Heartbreak is an excellent book. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the life lessons given in this book as well as the down to earth recipes Carol gave the readers. Unfortunately, I was in tears as I reread this book. However, I am relieved the essence of Melina lives on in her daughter in McKelvey House. I am going to try some of the recipes that are clearly given in this book. The author cleverly goes from storyline into her enclosed recipes. I have…

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe;
She had so many children, she didn’t know what to do.
She fed them all broth without any bread;
Then whipped them all soundly and sent them to bed.
~Mother Goose, The Dorling Kindersley Book of Nursery Rhymes (2000)
She took them from the woods, and she took them from dells, from hamlets and homesteads and across the wide world, she found young orphans, those abandoned and left on their own, and gave them a home.
And all she asked for was a little piece of their soul in payment…
Whoever said nursery rhymes were harmless?

Fantastic addition to the Never Land universe

Another great twist on a classic fairy tale. Ms. Lawrencovna is excellent at writing complicated, interesting characters who you learn to love (or love to hate).
