During that time, she wrote hundreds of poems, with several of them published in national and international poetry magazines. For the most part, she wrote poetry that focuses on people of different ages and backgrounds. Some of her subjects were extraordinarily close to the author, whereas others, like President Franklin D. Roosevelt, were iconic figures. The people who affected the author’s life are expressed through imagery, abstract concepts, and word portraits.
