It’s a while since we ate beef. A while since I ate meat at all, but my chronic anaemia sometimes craves red meat. The Sunday Lunch Experience was heavenly this week.
Garlic roasting round the meat
with rosemary potatoes
a bunch of thyme in the carrots
and sweet sarriette in the green beans.
Such a wild aromatic cacophony
to set the mouth watering.
We savour the sun
beneath the vine
glass of yellow Vermentino in hand.
Through the leaves the blue sky
could be paradise.
