Another 5 Star Review for “Betrayal: A Tall Pines Mystery” by the Fabulous Aaron Paul Lazar

betrayl
5.0 out of 5 stars Complex characters, dangers and plot in this ensemble mystery romance, October 8, 2014
This review is from: Betrayal: A Tall Pines Mystery (Tall Pines Mysteries Book 4) (Kindle Edition)
Love is complicated, and in Aaron Paul Lazar’s latest Tall Pines mystery, Betrayal, that complication might stretch love’s ties too close to breaking point. But love is real too, and this novel, besides being a fine fun mystery, is grounded in the very convincing feelings of a group of friends who deeply love each other.

Marissa and Quinn would love to have children of their own, but fate conspires against them, and when Quinn has to choose between his wife’s dreams and his Seneca heritage, there might be no right answers. Will wrong answers send Marissa running back to her first-love Sky? And will Sky betray his friend?

But this isn’t the only betrayal threatened in this exciting novel. Soon the friends are united in hunting down a ruthless killer, with mystery piling on threat, and bravery—equally as complex as any duplicity—guiding a wounded girl’s steps.

Kidnap, rape and murder; loss, betrayal and forgiveness; dread, despair and hope; and healing oils all play their part, making this the strongest, darkest of the Tall Pines tales, and the most deeply absorbing. I really enjoyed it.

Disclosure: I was lucky enough to read a pre-release version.
