I’m not usually a fan of fantasy genres, but when I read the book’s description, I was intrigued by the premise. God, muses, demons and sirens in the modern world? And some poor guy named Dan stuck in the middle? Yes! Eight muses, mankind’s inspirations, apparently live in Atlanta, and when Terri, one of the muses, and Dan hook up, with lots of interference from the other muses, the well thought out plot twists tumble around quite coherently to a jaw-dropping cliffhanger. And by the way, the muses are sexy. The writing is crisp and sharp, the plot line is direct and interesting, and the characters are chirpy and engaging. I do have a suggestion when you read this—when I started out, I tried to take a quickie refresher course on the muses. Don’t do that yourself. Let John Tucker’s take on them be your only guide and you’ll be fine. It’s a ride! Sit down, buckle up and go with it. You’ll like it. Poof!
