“The sores forming with unholy speed on Harley’s arms and legs confirmed the infection was spreading. Its poison surged through her veins with such momentum that she could feel its sting in the current of her pulse. Unrelenting pain seared every cell, and she struggled to maintain focus, despite the fever raging in her blood.” – Viral Storm

“I highly recommend “tunneling” through ‘Shadows and Lies’!”  – Shadows & Lies (A Carson Reno Mystery) by Award-winning author Gerald W. Darnell

Ger shadow and lies with wine

Line Blurb
All Carson Reno, Mystery Series Books, are standalone novels. It is not necessary to read them in any particular order.
What happens when a rich client, three beautiful women, a shifty businessman, a gambler and a missing spouse are all suspected of murder? The results are a merry-go-round of shadows and lies in a house of cards with clues almost as old as Carson.
Greed, blackmail, infidelity, murder, serial killers and a twenty-year-old crime spin a tale that is practically unbelievable – with the truth masked behind a story that nobody wants told.
This old fashion ‘whodunit’ takes Carson Reno and his crew on a complicated adventure, which has too many victims and too many suspects.
Come along and help Carson find the clues and discover the truth as he tries to make sense of all the

In the Never Lands, Birthday Celebrations tend to be a little more festive than in other worlds. No silly little parties with only family and friends, but rather grand balls with princes and princesses and assassins, oh my.
What’s a ball without some intrigue?
Have a Happy Birthday with Prince Christophe as he celebrates in The First Ball.

Well Done! Well crafted.

A nicely paced short story that sets a scene in the life of a prince (a ball designed to find him a wife), throws in a little intrigue, some great characterizations, and a bit of action, gets you interested in the wider world this all takes place in, and then it wraps up tidily without the cliffhanger that one might expect from an introduction to a series. All in one short story. Well…

Cooper Mitchell isn’t what most men expect. Most men see his silver hair and dressed up dog and assume he’s a sassy little bottom. Cooper may be sassy, but he’s nobody’s bottom boy. That’s just fine with Roger Nice. All it takes is one look and Roger knows Cooper is everything he wants, but can Cooper be the type of Dom he needs? Or are there some things that are just too much to ask? Roger doesn’t think so, at least he hopes not, but will Cooper agree?
Note: This is the third book in the series. While it can be read as a standalone, the other two books should be read first for maximum enjoyment. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed HEA.
