Fantasy has always been my favourite, and vampires are so versatile that I can find a story to fit every mood. For instance, my Patrick novel is pretty much straight horror, while the Heart of the Raven arc, in the Amaranthine series, is pure fantasy (with an evil “wizard”, a quest, and a group of adventurers). Meanwhile, my upcoming novel is a contemporary road trip, and the short story I have in Nightly Bites Volume 2 is more paranormal/historical.
