Solar panels atop many rooftops of homes and businesses across London is becoming a reality thanks to the expansion of the Solar Together London initiative.
Launched by London Mayor Sadiq Khan, Solar Together London, is a group-buying scheme, which gives Londoners the opportunity to buy high quality solar panels at a highly competitive price.
The Mayor of London has teamed up with several London boroughs to organise this innovative scheme for homeowners as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to help deliver the vision of a zero-carbon city.
Following a successful first phase earlier this year, eight further councils have signed up to the Mayor’s Solar Together scheme. Since its launch, Solar Together London has proved popular and 4,000 people have already signed up across four London boroughs.
