Of Fiends, Time, and Trouble #amreading

Julie Holmes, author's avatarFacets of a Muse

Today I’m hosting Mae Clair, who is finishing up a blog tour for the first book of her new series. If you like past/present timelines, fiends, and sinister happenings, you’ll enjoy not only Cusp of Night, but Mae’s other books as well. Take it away, Mae!

Julie, thank you so much for inviting me to your blog today. I’ve been making the rounds with my latest novel, Cusp of Night, the first book in my new Hode’s Hill series. Although the first book in a three-book series, Cusp of Night is also a complete standalone read offering two mysteries in one. It features past and present timelines that ultimately converge at the end, tying both plots together.

Lucinda Glass, my main character in the past, becomes a renowned medium in the late 1800s. She’s lauded by the elite of society for seances and producing “automatic writings” in which she…

Summer nights…

With windows wide, I breathe the night,
And watch the shifting web of light,
I see the hunter’s silent wings,

Let fresh air in and mozzies out.

I’d rather follow my old granny
Than some ‘health and safety’ nanny.
What is it really…

Thank you, Allan, for coming today.

I’ll turn over the reins to you now. I’m looking forward to learning more about you.

Thank you, Janice, for having me as a guest on your popular blog. It’s great to be here.

  1. Please tell us something about yourself.

I live on the east coast of Canada, in the province of New Brunswick. I’m married to a terrific lady and her name is Gloria. I’m a father, step-father and a grampy and I don’t think I could be happier. I’ve had two careers in my lifetime being involved in the jewelry business for many years as a sales representative and I’m also a carpenter. At present I work at both. Self-employed, building and repairing things during the first days of the week and I work part-time at Peoples Jewelers. I’m…
